MARCUS Blackmore AM and his wife Caroline have made a record $10 million personal donation to Southern Cross University.
It's the biggest single donation ever given to the University, with the gift to be used to establish a National Centre for Naturopathic Medicine to engage in higher education, research and engagement with the profession.
Blackmore will sign over the donation in a ceremony today, saying it fulfils a final wish of his father, the late Maurice Blackmore, that naturopathy be properly recognised and respected.
The new Centre is expected to open during 2019.
