Chemmart continues growth

CHEMMART Pharmacy
anticipates that it will be the largest
community pharmacy brand in
Australia by the end of 2012,
according to a company statement.
The prediction follows a year of
healthy growth for the company,
which saw the brand sign up more
than 50 new stores in 2011, and
reach its target of 260 stores
nationwide.
The Chemmart Pharmacy brand
was launched in late 2010 to
captialise on the increasing
demand for healthcare services and
advice.
“The Chemmart brand is
successfully communicating what it
stands for to its customers,” said
Chemmart Executive Director,
Jonathan Layton.
“We have positioned Chemmart
as a brand that differentiates by
delivering professional health
solutions, while still providing an
exciting, compelling retail offer.
“As a result, our average store
growth is tracking well ahead of
other industry players and that’s a
critical factor in attracting new
pharmacists to Chemmart,” he
added.
Layton attributed part of the
brand’s success to its “full service
franchise model”.
“With major and complex
changes happening within the
industry, pharmacists are looking
for a brand that will give them the
necessary guidance and support,”
he said.
