Chemmart’s masterclass of 2016

Chemmart hosted
about 240 pharmacists
for the second annual
Chemmart Masterclass
which took place earlier
this week in Melbourne.
The attendees
undertook
the “revolutionary
professional
development and
training program
designed to help
Chemmart pharmacists
overcome barriers to
customer engagement”.
Chemmart executive
director, Duncan Phillips,
said the brand was
committed to giving its pharmacists
the skills to improve the health and
wellbeing of their patients.
“We are committed to a renewed
customer-facing strategy and a key
area is ‘developing leaders’.
“Masterclass is an important
vehicle for us in delivering against
this,” Phillips said, with the 2016
program extended to look at how
pharmacists can better engage
with non-prescription patients by
moving further out onto the floor.
Sessions also included clinical
updates on pain, skincare and
digestive health, psychological
insight into how pharmacists view
their customers and practical
sessions on “bringing service
theories to life” in Chemmart
pharmacies.
Attendees were also able to fulfil
their CPD registration requirement
by being part of the event.
