THE Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee (PBAC) has backed measures to enable eligible patients to access Closing The Gap (CTG) Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) medicines supplied under Continued Dispensing.
The move is set to be implemented from 01 Jul, when pharmacists will be granted authority to provide full PBS supplies of medicines to patients without a prescription in emergency circumstances under Continued Dispensing, as announced by Federal Health Minister, Greg Hunt, last week (PD breaking news).
