MINISTER for Health Greg Hunt has announced that new cystic fibrosis treatment Orkambi (lumacaftor and ivacaftor) will be listed on the PBS 01 Oct, bringing new hope to 1,200 young Australians and their families.
In addition, Hunt reminded that medicines that treat rheumatoid arthritis and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) are available now from 01 Sep.
Olumiant (baricitinib) is funded for the treatment of moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis and Intuniv (guanfacine) is also listed on the PBS for ADHD treatment - more at health.gov.au.
