NSAID diclofenac is associated with an increased risk of major adverse cardiovascular events in the first 30 days of use when compared with ibuprofen, naproxen and paracetamol, according to a study published in the BMJ.
Researchers used Danish national registry data for more than 6.3 million adults over a ten-year period to evaluate diclofenac against other painkillers - bmj.com.
