FINES for the dead.
A local US parking inspector
has found herself on Wisconsin’s
most unpopular list, after issuing
parking fines to a hearse outside
a funeral home during a service.
According to reports the
inspector also issued fines to
mourners cars, despite Parking
Enforcement Offices’ policy of
leniency for funeral attendees.
Fortunately for the mourners,
the fines have been cancelled,
with the city’s parking enforcement
manager apologising for the
incident, saying “some checkers
are overzealous”.
SKATE-TANK!
Canadian weapon
manufacturer, BPG Werks has
released what it is calling the
future of transport for soldiers in
warzones, the DVT Shredder.
A cross between a tank and a
skateboard the Shredder features
twin tracks, weaponry, a 200cc
engine and was initially designed
by a student at the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology.
PIGS fly?
Well, not quite, but one pig in the Chinese province of Henan, has become a local celebrity after it was taught to walk on its two front feet. Having only been born with her two front trotters ten-month old Zhu Jianqiang (meaning strongwilled pig) was taught by her owner, Wang Xihai to walk upside down by lifting her tail. “My wife asked me to dump it but I refused, as it’s a life,” he said. “I thought I should give it a chance to survive, and amazingly it has,” He added. Now weighing in at a hefty 50kgs, Zhu Jianqiang is in hot demand, with a few local circus’ offering top dollar for her services, to which Xihai has refused.
