VITAMIN B is clearly popular with British holidaymakers, with an airport in the UK revealing the most common food item confiscated from carry-on luggage was jars of Marmite.
The yeast extract product was declared as the object of a "Marmite Amnesty" this week at London City Airport, with the one day stunt offering travellers the opportunity to swap jars exceeding the 100ml limit for a travel-friendly 70 gram miniature (pictured).
Officials in China have apprehended a 59-year-old woman who is alleged to have undergone extensive plastic surgery in order to avoid paying her debts.
Zhu Najuan allegedly absconded from Wuhan to Shenzhen, after a court ordered her to pay more than $4.5m to creditors.
Police tracked her to the southeastern city, with officers reportedly "astonished" at Zhu's appearance when they found her.
"We were very surprised at the scene," said one policeman, according to a Xinhua report.
"She looked in her thirties and was different from the photos we had," he added.
The woman confessed to using other people's identity cards as she travelled across China by train, and financed the plastic surgery using borrowed credit cards.
