CRUISE holidays are often considered as an indulgence, but did you know they can actually be good for you?
A recent study conducted by luxury cruise line Cunard has revealed that just five days at sea can boost cognitive abilities, including memory, spatial reasoning, logical thinking, and problem-solving by, on average, around 26%.
The international study, which involved 40 guests on a transatlantic crossing aboard Queen Mary 2, highlighted a 29% improvement in short-term memory recall, a 125% increase in complex problem-solving ability, and a 14% improvement in attention levels.
Much less surprisingly, participants also reported a 158% increase in relaxation.
While the study should probably be taken with a grain of salt, given it was conducted by a cruise line, it's great info to keep up your sleeve the next time you're trying to convince a friend or family member to go on a cruise with you.
