VEGETABLES are good for more than just your health, according to a British woman who claims to be able to predict the future using asparagus.
Jemima Packington, 63, from Bath (pictured below) claims to be the world's only "Asparamancer," and conducts her eerily accurate forecasts by tossing the spears into the air and then examining how they land.
In 2019 her predictions include a global recession which will see the UK survive Brexit relatively unaffected, while there's good news for the British Rugby Union team which is forecast to be successful at the upcoming World Cup in Japan.
Another ground-breaking asparagus-inspired prognostication is that reality TV show Big Brother will return to British screens after being cancelled in 2018.
"When I cast the asparagus, it creates patterns and it is the patterns I interpret," she explained, with a success rate of between 75% and 90%.
Ten of her predictions for 2018 came true, with the green vegetable apparently correctly forecasting that US President Donald Trump would take part in a summit meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
