A PATIENT'S fart during a surgical procedure at Tokyo Medical University Hospital in Japan, allegedly sparked a fire in the operating theatre.
According to reports in the Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun the woman was undergoing on operation which involved applying laser to her cervix, with the laser ignited by her gas.
"When the patient's intestinal gas leaked into the space of the operation, it ignited with the irradiation of the laser, and the burning spread, eventually reaching the surgical drape and causing the fire," an external report which examined the case concluded.
Chubby baby daddies of the world, rejoice!
Not only will you live longer but you're more attractive to the opposite sex and better at passing on your genes, according to Yale University professor Richard Bribiescas, in his new book: How Men Age.
In his hypothesis he says that while most men become slightly fatter after becoming fathers, it has the unexpected effect of lengthening their lives and strengthening their immune systems.
Professor Bribiescas also claims that becoming more podgy makes dads more likely to invest their time in their children rather than looking for other women.
