DOGGIE bagging it at a funeral!
A NZ man has been asked to
refrain from eating food at
funerals after it was discovered
that he attended the last rites of
people that he didn’t know in
order to grab free food.
The man, dressed respectfully in
a suit, was found out after a
Wellington funeral home began to
question his motives after he
turned up to multiple funerals
within the one week, scoffed food
and even took Tupperware
containers out of his backpack to
stock up on supplies for later.
Dubbing him the ‘Grim Eater’
the funeral home surreptitiously
took photos of the man and sent
them to its other branches, who
confirmed that he had also been
frequenting their premises and
snarfing up a storm.
The man was taken aside the
next day and told that whilst he
could attend funerals, he could
not eat any of the food on offer.
He has not been seen since.
IT’S weird enough to be carrying
around a frozen leg of lamb in
your luggage, but when it comes
stuffed with drugs, then it is more
of a crime than just simple bad taste!
A 25-year old man who aroused
the suspicions of customs officers
by carrying a frozen leg of lamb
in his bag whilst transiting
through Nguiu airport in the Tiwi
Isands in the NT was arrested
after it was found that wrapped
within the meat was a 106 gram
bag of marijuana.
A 43-year old woman was also
busted at the same time, having
drawn the officers’ attention when
a 27 gram bag of cannabis fell
haphazardly out of her dress.
Worth a combined $20,000 if
sold together on the Islands the
drugs have since been confiscated
and the pair are awaiting trial.
