FOLLOWING anti-vaxxer conspiracy theorist Robert F Kennedy's appointment as the US secretary of health and human services, it seems anything is possible.
To wit, Qatar Airways has just announced an "exciting new partnership" with tennis great Novak Djokovic as the airline's Global Brand Ambassador and Wellness Advisor.
"For Novak, seamless travel and a focus on holistic wellbeing are essential to maintaining peak performance, mirroring Qatar Airways' commitment to connecting people and fostering a culture of care for both passengers and staff," gushed Qatar's media release.
At this point, some of you will no doubt recall that the winner of 24 Grand Slams and an Olympic gold medal earned the moniker Novax Djocovid for his anti-vaccine stance.
And he certainly put his money where his mouth is.
In the lead up to the 2022 Australian Open, vaccination refusal saw his visa cancelled, and he was duly deported, thereby missing the opportunity to win a Grand Slam title and $2.875 million in prize money.
Among other wellness fads and pseudoscience embraced by the star are TaoPatch nanocrystal body patches that claim to convert body heat into light and send photons to specific acupuncture points in the body, with numerous purported benefits including improved athletic performance.
