The rapid rise of the middle
class in China has seen a boom in
tourist numbers - and apparently
some of them need a little bit of
hygiene and etiquette help.
The China National Tourism
Administration has published
a new 64-page Guidebook for
Civilised Tourism, giving tips for
Chinese travellers so they don’t
offend people in the places they
visit across the globe.
Suggestions include not picking
your nose in public, as well as the
handy reminder to avoid leaving
footprints on public toilet seats.
Another key tip is to not urinate
in swimming pools, while an
important safety idea is for
tourists to not steal life jackets
from underneath aircraft seats.
Detailed instructions also urge
Chinese travellers to ensure
they keep their nose hair neatly
trimmed, and to use a toothpick
rather than their fingers to
remove food items stuck between
the teeth. The above article was sent to subscribers in Pharmacy Daily's issue from 04 Oct 13 To see the full newsletter, see the embedded issue below or CLICK HERE to download Pharmacy Daily from 04 Oct 13
