IS there anything red wine can’t do?
Experts have long touted the
health benefits of a glass of red
wine, but now Australian
scientists have harnessed the
grape derivative to create clothing.
The researchers from the
University of WA created the
clothes by adding the bacteria,
acetobacter, to wine to create a
cotton-like substance.
Interestingly this “cotton” did
not need a single stitch to craft
clothing, as it grew itself around a
mannequin, clothing it as it went.
According to reports, the
researchers have so far been able
to create garments such as
swimwear, tshirts and dresses
using this method.

A meat masterpiece created in
Turkey has nutritionists and
healthcare professionals cringing,
after it was revealed that the twoand-
a-half meter tall donor kebab
was made purely from the meat
and fat of seven cows.
The one-tonne meat delight has
been officially recognised as the
world’s largest doner kebab, and
took ten cooks working on
scaffolding many many many man
hours to perfect.
The mega kebab smashed the
previous donor kebab record, set
in Australia eight years ago by
almost double.
