FEDERAL Health Minister Greg Hunt showed his hands-on approach yesterday when speaking to pharmacists at the 2018 TerryWhite Chemmart Masterclass (see page 1 of today's Pharmacy Daily).
Hunt noted that he has relationships with two high profile pharmacists within his electorate of Flinders, south of Melbourne.
Guild national president George Tambassis has a pharmacy there, while state president Anthony Tassone is also from the area.
"From time to time I drop in on my local pharmacists to ask them how the 6CPA is going, how they're working with their dose administration aids, their WebsterPaks...
"I do that within my electorate, because I've done it outside my electorate previously and they thought I was the tax office.
"So I get better answers where I'm better known in my own patch," he said.
