VIDEO game-related health problems can range from repetitive strain injuries, mental health issues and skin disorders, but perhaps it's high time for a good news story for gamers.
Enter stage left the owner of an unopened copy of Super Mario Bros. which recently fetched more than US$100,000 at auction.
The dubious purchase will see the new owner receive one of the original "sticker-sealed" copies of the game only sold in NY and LA.
There were unconfirmed reports the buyer was forced to plummet down a sewer pipe and eat a giant mushroom in order to secure the rare retro item, but we are still waiting on Princess Peach PR to confirm that claim.
Given America's greedy obsession with fast food, the following story shouldn't be particularly surprising.
A man on Valentine's Day successfully pulled off a ruse at an Outback Steakhouse, posing as a hapless date who had been stood up in the hope the restaurant would foot the bill.
Cataloguing the whole event on social media, the man even ordered a glass of wine for his phantom date and brought along a fake gift (a shoe box filled with jumper cables). The result?
A free meal bought by two compassionate diners.
So it turns out fast food isn't always bad for the old heart, aye.
