MANY pharmacists might see themselves as underpaid, which is likely why police in NSW started asking questions when one began driving to work in a Ferrari.
A Sydney pharmacist's $20m empire of sports cars and mansions was recently seized in a PBS fraud bust, with the Australian Federal Police accusing the man of cheating taxpayers out of millions.
Police have frozen the pharmacist's assets, which include his mansion, a retail property, seven BMWs, two Ferraris, two Lamborghinis and a McLaren, all of which are now being taken away on the back of a truck (pictured).
The investigation began in Feb 2023 after a referral from the Department of Health & Aged Care raised concerns over suspicious PBS claims made between 2014 and 2023.
The man's charges will see him face decades in prison, with the feds accusing him of fraud estimated at more than $10m.
