AN ARMED robber, who held up the same pharmacy in Dublin, Ireland, twice in four months last year, will spend four years behind bars.
William Gaynor, 56, entered the Medipharm store brandishing a knife, demanding "Xanax and cash", before jumping onto the dispensary counter on 13 Feb 2021.
Staff handed over a quantity of the medication and about $450 in cash, and Gaynor fled the store, only to be apprehended a short time later.
Four months later Gaynor returned to the pharmacy armed with a corkscrew and ordered staff to give him Valium and cash.
He was given approximately 150 Valium tablets and close to $450, but was once again arrested shortly after leaving the pharmacy, after staff members activated a panic button.
Gaynor entered guilty pleas in relation to both robberies.
