THIS guy has the looks... and the
brains - lots of them.
A 23-year-old US man has
pleaded guilty to six charges of
burglary, in relation to incidents
where he broke into a medical
museum and stole a number of
preserved human brains.
David Charles from Indianapolis,
Indiana also stole other tissue
with the bizarre aim of selling the
items online.
On multiple occasions he
stole from the Indiana Medical
History Museum, according to
prosecutors, and was arrested
after a man who bought six jars of
brain material on eBay for $600
alerted the police.
NO, it’s not the first of April but it
certainly seems like it.
A newly founded Australian
company says it’s working on
technology which will allow a
person’s consciousness to be
stored after their death.
Humai is targeting “human
resurrection through artificial
intelligence,” with the company’s
website detailing the process.
“We’re using artificial
intelligence and nanotechnology
to store data of conversational
styles, behavioural patterns,
thought processes and
information about how your body
functions from the inside out”.
The data will be “coded into
multiple sensor technologies,
which will be built into an artificial
body with the brain of a deceased
human,” with cloning technology
used to “restore the brain as it
matures,” the site adds.
In an interview with Australian
Popular Science, ceo Josh
Bocanegra said Humai aims to
cheat death in the next 30 years.
“I don’t think of it a fighting
death, I think of it as making
death optional,” he said.
