LIP syncing is usually confined to the stage with performers seeking to spare their vocal cords for another show.
However, Spanish actor turned politician, Carlos Galiana has brought it to a new stage, delivering a speech to the European Commission last week.
Sporting a face mask, the councillor from Valencia expressed his civic pride in word-perfect English, with no trace of an accent.
However, despite his mask moving in time with the oration, Galiana was not uttering a word, instead the minute-long speech had been dubbed by a native English speaker.
The incident has earned Galiana the scorn of his compatriots who claim he's embarrassed Spain.
