OCULAR chemical injury was caused to a Scottish patient when she was given an erectile dysfunction cream (Vitaros) instead of an ocular lubricant (VitA-POS).
Neither the GP, pharmacist or patient picked up on the error that an erectile dysfunction drug was being given to a female with instructions for application to the eyes.
