DRUG shortages continue to plague the pharmacy business, with the Therapeutic Goods Administration alerting pharmacists to more products in short supply.
Clomifene 50 mg tablets, marketed in Australia as Clomid by Sanofi-Aventis will not be available again until after 30 Sep 2019.
A Dutch-manufactured alternative has a section 19A approval from the TGA and can be ordered via normal channels.
Anginine and Lycinate tablets from Arrow Pharmaceuticals will continue to be in short supply until 15 Jan 2019.
Pfizer, and now HL Pharma, have approval to supply alternative glyceryl trinitrate tablets sourced from the US and the UK respectively - see tga.gov.au.
