BEAUTY giant Estee Lauder has officially acquired its remaining interest in Indian beauty brand Forest Essentials, building on its existing 18-year partnership.
One of the top-ranked prestige skincare brands in India, Forest Essentials puts a luxury spin on traditional Indian Ayurveda beauty practices, with its nearly 200 physical stores and well-crafted formulations.
A statement from the business said the Indian brand will have the chance to take advantage of its global brand-building capabilities, operational expertise and prestige distribution network.
"Together, our ambition is clear: to further strengthen the brand's leadership at home while thoughtfully introducing it to a global audience," Stephane de La Faverie, president and CEO said.
"We are committed to expanding this reach without compromising the integrity, craftsmanship, and cultural soul that define Forest Essentials, and look forward to supporting [founder Mira Kulkarni] and her son Sam in the brand's exciting future."
