THE US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced it will be advancing "a new effort to help more compounding pharmacies expand and grow their businesses".
The plan will include programs to modernise generic drug review as a way to increase competition and address high drug costs as well as new approaches to support the development of treatments for rare pediatric diseases.
