Pharmacists and scientists need to take the lead in reducing the environmental impact of medicines, the International Pharmaceutical Federation says. The organisation has released a new reference document outlining the principles of “Green Pharmacy Practice” from research and development stages through to disposal processes. The document is intended to raise awareness among pharmacists.
