The TGA has determined that
Garcinia gummi-gutta, also known
as Garcinia cambogia, is safe and of
appropriate quality to be used as
an ingredient in lower risk (listed)
medicines.
The TGA said as with other listed
medicine ingredients, it did not
specifically evaluate whether or not
