THE Pharmacy Guild of Australia has partnered with the Australian Digital Health Agency (ADHA) to develop three training modules which will provide pharmacists with education on using My Health Record (MHR) to access relevant patient data.
This initiative will provide community pharmacists with timely access to their patients' key health information leading to better health outcomes for patients and improved clinical decision making for community pharmacists, the Guild says.
The three modules cover off information around prescribed and dispensed medicines, clinical information contained in Discharge Summaries and Event Summaries and clinical information contained in a Shared Health Summary.
The second module titled 'Making the most of the My Health Record system: Using Discharge Summaries and Event Summaries to deliver better patient care' is now available, the Guild said.
This activity has been accredited as suitable for inclusion in an individual pharmacist's CPD plan.
