NAIDOC Week: Next week we celebrate NAIDOC Week, the annual celebration of the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
NAIDOC Week is celebrated in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, but also by Australians from all walks of life in what is a national display of unity and cultural recognition and respect.
The week, being marked from 8-15 November, is a chance to participate in a range of activities and to support local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
This year's theme is Always Was, Always Will Be, which aims to recognise that First Nations peoples have occupied and cared for this land for more than 65,000 years.
