THIS month the Department of Health launched a $4.9 million internet directory which shows the addresses, opening times and phone numbers of GP clinics, pharmacies, emergency departments and hospitals in towns and cities across Australia. The directory works by the patient typing in a location, to which the program will respond with a list of services as well as Google map directions. To access the directory, see www.nhsd.com.au.
