from private equity firms TPG and
Carlyle.
In what has become the largest
private equity takeover bid in four
years, shareholders are now staring
down the barrel of a 16% share
increase to $6.26 from Friday’s
closing price of $5.40.
Healthscope is Australia’s
second largest private hospital
provider operating 44 private
hospitals, as well as 45 medical
centres, pathology businesses and
a diagnostic imaging division
