RESEARCHERS at Flinders University have identified a promising approach to the early diagnosis and management of autoimmune diseases through a routine blood test.
The Systemic Inflammation Index could leverage routine laboratory data to measure the body's inflammation levels.
According to Strategic Prof of Clinical Pharmacology Arduino Mangoni, this index could change the way more than 80 autoimmune diseases are detected and treated for improved patient outcomes.
