indicates a given food is FODMAP
Friendly (incorporating fructose and
lactose-friendly foods) is destined
to make life easier for IBS sufferers.
The FODMAP Friendly certification
was created to help people easily
identify and select
food products
that are low in
FODMAPs, which
are a collection
of short-chain
carbohydrates
and polyols that
trigger symptoms
of IBS and other inflammatory
bowel diseases.
The move has been initiated
by dietitian Sue Shepherd, with
selected items already featuring the
