THE NSW Health Department has
issued a warning about influenza,
urging people with flu symptoms to
stay away from aged care facilities
and vulnerable groups.
There has been a spike in
influenza presentations to
emergency departments, with
almost 2,000 cases reported from
across the state last week.
Most cases are caused by the
Influenza A (H3N2) strain which
is covered by the 2016 seasonal
influenza vaccine.
A spokesperson strongly urged all
pregnant women to be immunised
