THE Federal Government has
provided $8.9 million for the
expansion of the Good Sports
Program, which is an initiative that
supports local sports clubs
nationwide to build a culture of
responsible drinking.
So far 5,000 clubs have signed up
for the initiative, which requires
them to work through three levels
of accreditation, provide smoke
free environments and develop
transport strategies to get people
home safely.
The Govt is hoping to get 6,500
