While the number of submissions to the King Review of Pharmacy Remuneration and Regulation is still low, four pharmacists (including one retiree and one "young" clinical pharmacist) have submitted, and a particularly cutting letter has been received from a GP.
Highlighting the regulations in place separating nine-year trained GPs from dispensing to avoid conflict of interest, Canberra GP Dr FM Janse van Rensburg describes the "hypocrisy" of "shonky" pharmacists selling weight-loss programs, homeopathic drugs, flu injections, magnets and more.
