THE Veterans' MATES project has released a new topic on Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, and in particular keeping well during the colder months.
The resource includes info for health professionals, patients and carers, warning that exacerbations are almost twice as likely to occur during winter as in summer.
Analysis of DVA health claims data shows the majority of veteran hospitalisations for COPD in 2014/15 occurred in Jul and Aug.
