AUSTRALIA’S medicines
watchdog, the Therapeutic Goods
Administration (TGA), has created
an online service called the
Medicine Shortages Information
Initiative.
The resource is intended to
enable consumers and health
professionals to readily access
information around the availability
of specific medicines and in the
case of shortages, the status and
anticipated duration of the short
supply.
The new resource goes live
next Monday and will be officially
launched by the Assistant Minister
