LAST weekend the National Australian Pharmacy Students' Association elected a new board at its annual general meeting, held at Melbourne's Monash University.
Sandra Minas from La Trobe University in Bendigo was chosen as the 2017/18 NAPSA president, leading a board (pictured above) comprising:
* Vasilios Sotiropoulos from the Univeristy of South Australia as director of Internal Affairs
* Evangeline Armstrong Gordon from the University of Sydney as secretary
* Jordan Gill from Charles Sturt University Wagga Wagga as treasurer
* Jess Hsiao from the University of South Australia as director of Media and Publications
* Tahlia Murador from the University of Queensland as director of External Affairs
* Ayomide Ogundipe from Curtin University, Perth as director of Public Relations; and
* Alicia Martin from the University of Canberra as director of Professional Development.
Minas said she was looking forward to serving NAPSA members, and acknowledged her predecessor, Shefali Parekh.
"I know that I have big shoes to fill but I'm confident that with the dedication and collaboration of all the amazing board members we will be able to succeed in attaining our goals this term," she said.
The weekend also included the NAPSA Annual Dinner, with keynote speaker Rhonda White from Terry White Chemmart.
NAPSA supporters at the event included principal sponsor the Pharmacy Guild of Australia, the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia and SHPA as well as representatives from Ravens Recruitment, Mylan and LIVIN.
