Naloxone set for S3

THE Advisory Committee on Medicines Scheduling has recommended that a new S3 entry be created for naloxone from 01 Feb 2016, when packaged for the treatment of opioid overdose. Reasons cited included that it is a “well-tolerated life-saving medicine with minimal side effects’.
