THE National Australian
Pharmacy Students’ Association
has wrapped up its “Vampire Cup”
blood donation drive, with a record
number of participants this year.
Eleven of NAPSA’s 14 branches
participated in the initiative which
ran from 23 Aug-01 Oct and
resulted in a total of 181 blood
donations across Australia.
The biggest contribution came
from Pharmers’ Society in Wagga
Wagga, with 55 donations totalling
34% of members; followed by
Bendigo Association of Pharmacy
Students with 28 donations (21% of
their membership base).
In third place was the Tasmanian
Association of Pharmacy Students
with 26 donations (18%), with the
NAPSA Vampire Cup Trophy to be
presented at the 2011 NAPSA
Congress which will be held in

MONTU Group, its subsidiary Alternaleaf Pty Ltd, and their common director Christopher Strauch are facing legal action by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) in the Federal Court of Australia for alleged unlawful advertising on the effectiveness of their medicinal cannabis products.
