Caremark Corp has announced the appointment of Larry Merlo as its chief executive officer. Merlo is currently responsible for CVS/pharmacy’s day-to-day retail operations as the company’s chief operating officer and will move into the top job upon the retirement of Thomas M. Ryan from 01 Mar.
