THE Home Consortium, which includes Chemist Warehouse owners Jack Gance and Mario Verrocchi, has confirmed plans to open the first 10 redeveloped centres from the former Masters portfolio by the end of 2017.
The $725 million acquisition of the centres from Woolworths includes a total of 61 properties, with the first five to open including Rutherford and Penrith in NSW; South Morang in Vic; and Tingalpa and North Lakes in Brisbane, according to the Australian Financial Review.
The makeover of the centres has seen them remodelled with internal malls to drive foot traffic past various retailers.
The remainder of the portfolio is scheduled to open by early 2019.
