NPS MedicineWise has issued
an update on the use of oral
antibiotics in acne treatment, with
pharmacists often the first point of
call for sufferers of the condition.
The severity of acne varies
considerably and in some
individuals it persists well beyond
the teenage years.

oral antibiotics for moderateto-
severe acne because of their
greater potential for serious side
effects, compared with topical
treatments alone.
