New Zealand pharmacists have
begun administering vaccines for
two serious and highly contagious
diseases.
Pharmacists gave the vaccines
from 17 Feb to people over 18 for
whooping cough and people over
16 for meningococcal disease,
having undergone training to do so,
the Australian Medical Association
reported.
The New Zealand Ministry of
Health approved some pharmacists
to deliver influenza immunisations
before and during the winter
