“Polypharmacy needs monitoring” is a key theme of a newly released article on the topic of Medicines for an ageing population from NPS MedicineWise. By the year 2050, it is projected that 1 in 4 Australians will be over the age of 65 years, and in addition to longer life expectancy, older Australians enjoy better health than previous generations.
