THE first prescription-only Omega 3 therapy for adjuvant treatment for the secondary prevention of myocardial infarction, Omacor, has been approved by the TGA as a schedule 4 drug. Omacor (Omega 3-acid Ethyl Esters 90) is also indicated for some forms of hypertriglyceridaemia.
