THE Department of Health has added new example calculations of patient charges for PBS prescriptions to its "Information for Pharmacists" page.
A number of scenarios are covered, such as the inclusion of the Additional Fee and Additional Patient charge for under co-payment prescriptions, and the addition of brand premiums to under and over co-payment prescription in approved PBS pharmacies within Australia.
The examples also provide details of amounts charged to Safety Net - see pbs.gov.au for more details.
