Medicines Australia ceo appointed assistant director general of IFPMA.
Medicines Australia ceo Dr Brendan Shaw has been appointed the assistant director general of the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Associations (IFPMA) in Geneva.
Shaw would start at IFPMA in December, reporting to the director general, and would have overview of global health policy for IFPMA, Medicines Australia said.
Shaw finishes as ceo for Medicines Australia on 12 Sep and chairman Dr Martin Cross said executive search firm Egon Zehnder had been appointed to work with the Board in the search for a new ceo.
The appointment was a credit to Shaw and recognition of his contribution to the industry, Cross said.
