Health authorities seek to extend pharmacy COVAX sites.
Queensland Health is looking to increase the number of community pharmacies involved in the State’s COVID-19 vaccination (COVAX) program, by 105.
Pharmacy Guild of Australia National President, Trent Twomey, told Pharmacy Daily that the State Government aimed to have the new pharmacy vaccination sites ready to start administering vaccines in three weeks time.
Twomey added that up until yesterday a total of 267 community pharmacies across the country had received invitations to participate in COVAX programs.
